POLICE FOIL ARMED ROBBERY ATTACK IN TEMA, GET PROMOTED

Tema, April 17, TSJ – Seven officers were promoted to various ranks after foiling an armed robbery operation in Tema, last Monday in which two armed robbers were shot.
Commending their courage and commitment to duty, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, asked them to see the promotion as a responsibility to continue serving the nation with dedication.
The promoted officers include – Chief Inspector Enoch Nartey Nuer, Inspector Gershon Dekpey, Inspector Prince Asante, Sergeant Lukman Mohammed, Sergeant Eugene Kuudouru, Corporal Jerome Akator, and Lance Corporal Jonathan Sewurah.
Their promotion, one step above their current ranks, was based on a proactive response that foiled a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor at Tema Community 5 on Monday, April 13. A number of exhibits including a firearm, ammunition and cash were recovered by the police team.
